Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LVN to join our OBGYN Nursing Float Pool team at Sharp Rees-Stealy in the Central Southeast Region. As a float pool nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients, staff, and physicians in maintaining a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order.
  • Prepare patients for examination or procedure, obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery, and prepare and label biopsies in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • Accurately document patient care per protocol and participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
  • Organize and complete daily requirements and responsibilities, including telephone message management, daily organization, and responding to urgent and emergent situations.
Requirements
  • California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
  • 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area - PREFERRED
  • Ambulatory care experience - PREFERRED
  • ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
  • IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
Working Conditions

This is a float pool position that services the following Sharp Rees-Stealy locations: Otay, Santee, Grossmont Medical Plaza, and San Diego Main.
