Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at PhyNet Dermatology LLC. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our dermatology physicians, ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and update medical histories, documenting reason for visit and history of present illness.
  • Assist physicians with office procedures, including biopsies, surgeries, and treatments for various skin conditions.
  • Work as part of a team to see a patient volume of up to 40 patients per day.
  • Perform basic scribing responsibilities, taking and documenting patient HPI, and updating medical/surgical/family history, medications, and allergies.
  • Prep and assist with numerous surgical procedures, including ED&Cs, shave/punch biopsies, ILK, I&D, and others.
  • Prep and assist with cosmetic procedures, such as Botox, lasers, and others.
  • Log pathology and transmit pathology orders to the appropriate lab.
  • Input templates and scribe chart notes as required by the physician.
  • Process RX refills and submit prior authorizations.
  • Operate Narrowband and photodynamic therapy units.
  • Clean and stock patient examination rooms and supply areas.
  • Follow infection control practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended use of computer.

Required specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
