We are seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team at The Gardens, a vibrant community where our senior residents thrive and live with dignity and joy.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner, following established policies and procedures.
- Provide care and assistance to residents in a compassionate and quality customer service environment that preserves dignity.
- Set up medications and pass them to residents, perform narcotic counts, and order medications from the pharmacy.
- Document changes and unusual occurrences, and ensure lab work, faxes, and physician orders are completed and filed according to community policies.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as showers, grooming, dressing, and toileting, and provide basic cleaning and maintenance support.
- Escorts residents to and from the dining room, picks up laundry, and assists with meal service.
- Communicate with residents, families, visitors, and staff in a positive manner, using excellent communication skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification in medication administration and CPR/First Aid as required per state regulations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge and skills to administer medications safely, and a SERVANT heart and attitude.
Our community offers a moderate physical activity environment, with occasional handling of objects up to 50 pounds and lifting residents in excess of 100 pounds with assistance.
