Metropolitan Veterinary Associates: A Leader in Veterinary Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team as an Emergency Coordinator. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of veterinarians and nurses.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and nurses to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Manage the flow of tasks and prioritize patient care
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Perform various treatments and procedures, including radiography and laboratory testing
  • Investigate and de-escalate conflicts among team members and clients
  • Ensure protocols and policies are followed by team members
Requirements:
  • Current CVT/LVT/RVT certification or educational equivalent
  • At least three years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a focus on emergency medicine
  • Strong knowledge of basic small animal medicine, pharmacology, and laboratory testing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
