Key Responsibilities:

As an Administrative Assistant, your duties will encompass:

  • Processing bulk seed samples to ascertain expected seed sizing and conversion.
  • Conducting visual inspections of finished seed lots to guarantee acceptable seed appearance.
  • Submitting samples for laboratory quality analysis.
  • Collaborating with warehouse staff to manage carryover seed in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Monitoring crop quality outcomes and coordinating with location managers to address any identified issues.
  • Initiating and managing the 'SEED ON HOLD' process within warehouse and inventory systems.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized workspace.

This role involves direct interaction with Office Administrators and various administrative processes within the organization.


Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring a safe and conducive work environment.
  • Maintaining precise customer and company inventory records.
  • Accurately invoicing clients for seed and associated services.
  • Providing clients with reliable information regarding seed shipments.
  • Keeping comprehensive production and processing documentation.
  • Recording seed grower pricing requests with accuracy.
  • Initiating payments to growers.
  • Processing vendor invoices for timely payment.

Requirements:

  • A background in agriculture is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and data entry.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a positive demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A cooperative spirit and willingness to assist colleagues.
