Position Summary:

  • The primary responsibility of the Loan Officer is to support entrepreneurs in securing the necessary financing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive loan production by establishing connections within the community, collaborating with partner organizations, financial institutions, accountants, and employing innovative outreach strategies alongside small business support entities.
  • Attract new clients and partnerships with organizations that positively influence PeopleFund's target demographic.
  • Identify effective outreach methods to engage prospective clients.
  • Assess loan applications based on necessity, potential impact, and financial soundness.
  • Screen prospective clients and provide education regarding the loan process.
  • Assist both new ventures and established small businesses, as well as nonprofits, in preparing for loan applications.
  • Submit loans that aim to create a positive impact in economically disadvantaged areas of Texas.
  • Meet established loan volume and production targets.
  • Conduct annual follow-ups with PeopleFund clients and reach out to clients with overdue accounts.
  • Ensure loan applications are accurately assigned to underwriters and that transactions progress smoothly through the approval process.
  • Identify the educational and technical assistance needs of current and potential clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with loan prospects and existing clients.
  • Follow up with clients to nurture and enhance relationships.
  • Additional duties include community engagement, collections, and facilitating loan capital and grant opportunities for corporate staff to pursue.
  • Participate in lending events that align with PeopleFund's mission.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
