We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at University Hospitals. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality images and information for healthcare professionals to make accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images and information
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Interview patients, explain procedures, and position patients for scans
- Develop relationships with patients and provide compassionate care
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Maintain knowledge of technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments
- Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics
- Associate's degree in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
- MR scanning experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures
- Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment
- Knowledge of radiology information system
- Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machine, and emergency equipment
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
