The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more clinical areas, ensuring excellent patient safety and quality outcomes, and providing a positive patient and family experience.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise patient care services staff and develop a highly reliable team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Sentara's policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and monitoring of unit budget and coordinate purchasing and payroll processes
- Provide clinical guidance and support to team members
- BSN required, graduate degree preferred
- 2 years experience in a support leadership RN position or equivalent
- RN licensure to work in Virginia
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads. The hospital is a recognized accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence.
The hospital specializes in heart and vascular, neurosciences, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, maternity, and women's health, including a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit.
