Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely return of patient belongings and valuables upon discharge from our facility. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our nursing leadership and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough documentation of patient belongings and valuables delivered to us for safekeeping
- Return all items to the patient or their authorized representative
- Organize and maintain accurate inventory records for reference
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to ensure adherence to internal policies and best practices
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients and families with a smile and offering assistance as needed
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Mailing patient valuables and belongings if requested, utilizing secure delivery services
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Expertise in complaint resolution, customer service, and healthcare experience preferred
