Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev, serving the Williamsburg, Virginia area. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of transit buses and heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy truck or transit bus maintenance and repair.
  • A Class B CDL with an Air Brake endorsement is required.
  • Virginia State inspectors license is highly preferred.
  • ASE certifications are preferred, and we offer training and bonuses for obtaining them.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
