Job Summary:

The Community Services Officer will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations, animal control ordinances, and other laws and regulations related to public safety. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce parking regulations and issue citations as necessary
  • Respond to animal control calls and impound animals as needed
  • Collect meters and perform minor repairs as necessary
  • Assist with traffic control and provide directions to the public
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in a related field preferred
  • Valid California driver's license required
  • PC 832 certificate required within one year of appointment
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a variety of environments, including office and field settings. The Community Services Officer will be required to work in inclement weather, hazardous traffic conditions, and other challenging environments. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively with the public is essential.
