About the Job

  • This position involves performing various physical tasks, including moving freight, equipment, and materials, as well as maintaining a clean work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs manual labor tasks that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Handles, installs, positions, and moves materials, and manipulates objects using hands and arms.
  • Moves materials, equipment, or supplies within the workspace.
  • Receives instructions and information for performing work assignments.
  • Reviews work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures.
  • Adjusts, connects, or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts using hand or power tools.
  • Assembles and maintains physical structures using hand or power tools.
  • Transfers tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Able to follow safety procedures and read, understand, and enforce them.
  • Able to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Able to lift, push/pull, and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.

Working Conditions and Supervision

The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, involving physical work. The supervisor provides formal supervision, and the position requires independent completion of tasks.

Benefits and Qualifications

  • A competitive hourly rate of $10-$12 per hour.
