Position Overview
This is a non-exempt role, available in both full-time and part-time capacities. The Kitchen Team Member is tasked with the overall preparation and presentation of meals at Sadek Enterprises, ensuring consistency and efficiency in alignment with our established standards while exercising independent judgment. Employees in this role are expected to deliver menu items to customers promptly and efficiently, all while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Collaboration with fellow cooks and service staff is essential to foster a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols as instructed by the Manager in Charge.
- Prepare meals according to specified cooking standards and customer preferences.
- Ensure proper portioning, sizing, packaging, plate presentation, and freshness of items served.
- Follow food preparation guidelines to maintain appropriate stock levels and provide feedback regarding inventory needs.
- Report any concerns regarding the freshness of perishable items to management.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all necessary food preparation equipment.
- Communicate effectively with cashiers to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas as directed.
- Adhere to the posted work schedule unless otherwise arranged with management.

Food Safety Commitment
- Actively protect critical limits and standards related to food safety.
- Prioritize the safety of food products above all other responsibilities.
- Immediately inform the Manager in Charge of any food safety concerns.
- Read, comprehend, and follow instructions and labeling on all Material Safety Data Sheets.

Job Requirements
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in cooking or food preparation, or a combination of both.
- Understand the significance of quality in food preparation.
- Ability to follow directions and comprehend written instructions.
- Must obtain the required food handler certification within the time frame mandated by local regulations.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in kitchen environments with elevated ambient temperatures.
- Regular exposure to fumes during cooking and cleaning processes.
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 65 pounds during deliveries.
