- The Culinary Specialist prepares meals according to specified recipes while minimizing waste to support financial stewardship.
- Contributes to the efficient functioning of the department by preparing food for patients, cafeteria services, catering, and childcare.
- Food preparation tasks may include retail, production, or catering, which involves portioning and serving food, transporting meals to service areas, and managing supplies.
- Ensures that food, equipment, and work surfaces meet sanitation standards.
- Adheres to food storage guidelines as per regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Enhances customer service by taking ownership of customer interactions and delivering safe, high-quality meals.
- Additionally, the Culinary Specialist may oversee the daily activities of food service staff and coordinate operations during assigned shifts.
- Works under the guidance of various management roles to ensure effective coordination of the production team.
- In the absence of management, collaborates with the shift supervisor to identify and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and following oral instructions in English - Required
