Job Title: Test Management Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Test Management Supervisor to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories.

About the Job

This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills. As a Test Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising assigned personnel, directing and controlling all aspects of procurement test management, and providing high-quality and cost-effective services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and supervise department staff, providing leadership, coaching, recognition, and conducting corrective action and performance evaluations.
  • Establish priorities, workloads, schedules, controls, work procedures, and provide day-to-day problem resolution and troubleshooting to ensure timely collection and processing of patient specimens.
  • Monitor financial activities within the department, control and adjust expenditures, particularly in personnel costs, throughout the year to meet budgetary requirements, and prepare and/or provide accurate input for the department's annual budget.
  • Manage waste reduction and expense reduction efforts, ensuring area(s) of responsibility are maintained in accreditation with CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, and CLIA for patient care and nursing, and ensuring laboratory compliance with OSHA.
  • Lead and participate in task forces or councils who plan, implement, and coordinate activities to maximize service, quality, compliance, patient experience effectiveness, and efficiency, developing and reviewing matrix to ensure quality patient care and Banner initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Serve as a resource and communication liaison, facilitating timely and accurate dissemination of information, interacting with internal and external customers in responding to result or quality inquiries and other issues related to specimen management, testing, and reporting.
Requirements
  • A high school graduate or equivalent through the GED exam, and at least three years of phlebotomy or processing experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role or participation in management training programs required.
  • Evidence of increasing responsibility in personnel management, financial management, and organization skills required.
  • A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of different software programs required.
  • Ora/written communication skills, analytical/strategic skills, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and good working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements required.
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National phlebotomy certification.
Estimated Salary

$63,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
