Music Therapist

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify client developmental status.
- Provide direct services and activities tailored to the developmental needs of children 0-3 and their families.
- Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with goals, objectives, and strategies for the child's development.
- Document progress, assessments, and correspondence as required.
- Provide individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for delays.
- Assess family and child strengths, resources, concerns, and progress.
- Act as service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
- Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
- Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist.
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Abide by confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
