Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our team as an Early Intervention Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Responsibilities- Participate in comprehensive assessments of client developmental status and contribute to the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- Provide direct services and activities tailored to the developmental needs of children 0-3 and their families.
- Collaborate with families to identify goals, objectives, and strategies for promoting child development.
- Document progress, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records.
- Act as a service coordinator, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans for each family on caseload.
- Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
- Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist.
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to establish meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally sensitive services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural skills a plus.
