Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Shifts Available: Variable (Rotating Weekends)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift Duration: 12 hours

Hourly Rate: $30.04 to $41.50, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care team. This team specializes in providing care for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries, and stroke/STEMI care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide patient care under the direction of the Director, Manager, or Nurse Manager.
  • Assume individual responsibility and accountability for delivering nursing care, following hospital policies, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, and ANA Standards of Practice.
  • Care for post-operative cardiac patients and those recovering from cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgeries, stent placements, ablations, and pacemaker/AICD placements.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care cardiac nursing experience or similar.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS certification required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
