Tenured Faculty Position in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine is seeking a qualified individual for a Tenured Faculty Position in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. This role will serve as the training director within the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The successful candidate will possess the expertise necessary to oversee the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program, as well as provide training for general psychiatry residents, pediatric residents, medical students, and other learners in the division.
The University of Virginia is committed to enhancing the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and its fellowship program. Currently, the fellowship program accommodates 8 positions and offers training across multiple sites, including children's hospitals, psychiatric facilities, community mental health organizations, private practices, and educational institutions.
This program emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, fostering collaboration with psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and family therapists. Research interests are welcomed, and mentorship opportunities are available.
The training director will report directly to the Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and will work closely with the Training Director of the UVA General Psychiatry Residency Program.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO by the commencement of the position
- ABPN Board Certification in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- A minimum of seven to ten years of faculty experience in an accredited child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program is highly preferred
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
