A Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving truck sales within a designated region, engaging with clients primarily through face-to-face interactions outside of the office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and cultivate potential customers and business opportunities with both new and existing accounts, including key accounts. Foster and maintain relationships within the assigned territory, conducting personal sales visits to maximize sales effectiveness, with a commitment to at least three (3) full business days of client engagement each week. Develop and sustain a robust pipeline of sales prospects by dedicating time outside the office for sales calls and following up on quotes generated. Adhere to the guidelines set forth in the New Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework regarding monthly quote requirements. Utilize Microsoft CRM for effective management of accounts and contacts, ensuring all communications and business interactions are documented with specific details on a weekly basis. Collaborate with the service department to coordinate service tasks such as PDI, additional installations, and repairs, ensuring proper authorization is obtained prior to service initiation. Work closely with the Finance and Insurance Departments to provide accurate information and documentation to facilitate customer financing and insurance processes. Independently generate sales for Truck Warranties, RushCare Contract Maintenance, and RushCare telematics, while identifying the broader business needs of customers beyond just transportation. Level 2 sales representatives are expected to achieve an average of 3 to 5 truck sales per month.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and candidates must meet insurability criteria as per Rush's insurance standards.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Frequent travel within the assigned territory is necessary. Ability to meet Account Management, Productivity, and Performance benchmarks as outlined in the New Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework. Completion of all required training as specified in the New Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework. Conduct business with integrity and professionalism, ensuring a positive representation of oneself and the company. Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance among all staff members. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of truck specifications and industry standards. Accurately complete all documentation related to truck sales transactions. Secure Sales Manager's approval for all truck sales agreements. Promote and support our unified vision by selling all available services: Parts, Service, Body Shop, New Trucks, and Used Trucks. Follow established departmental procedures for completing truck sales paperwork using available systems and tools.
