About the Job

At Charles Brothers Inc., we are seeking an experienced CDL driver to join our team as a Truck Driver Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting poultry products safely and efficiently from farms to manufacturing plants and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport poultry products in a safe and timely manner
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document work periods, miles driven, and fuel/toll receipts
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
  • Secure loads for transport
  • Pull tarps as needed
  • Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions
  • Collect and verify loading/delivery instructions
  • Report defects or accidents

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a truck driver (new drivers considered)
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving/driving violations
  • Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic/weather conditions, etc.)
  • Valid truck driving license

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
