Job Title: Firefighter Paramedic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at American Medical Response (AMR). As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services and fire suppression duties to protect life and property.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency medical calls and provide patient care in accordance with established Emergency Medical Service Protocols and AMR policy.
  • Operate various pieces of fire equipment and gear for fire suppression and control, including driving and operating fire apparatus.
  • Conduct fire safety, home safety, fire extinguisher, and pre-fire planning inspections.
  • Provide information to the public, install smoke detectors, conduct station tours, visit schools, and participate in public education standbys.
  • Perform daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections, and ensure all vehicle and equipment discrepancies are documented and reported to the on-duty Fire Captain.

Requirements:

  • IL certified BOF
  • IL State issued EMT-P/Paramedic
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Must possess IDPH EMT-P license
  • Illinois certified BOF
  • AHA CPR card
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful background investigations with MVR, & criminal records
  • Physical fitness/agility
  • Drug/alcohol screening
