Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter EMT to join our team at AMR. As a Firefighter EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services and fire suppression duties to protect life and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide information to the public, conduct fire safety inspections, and participate in public education standbys.
  • Fire Suppression: Respond to emergency fire alarms, assist in the suppression of structural, residential, commercial, industrial, chemical, petroleum, vehicle, aircraft, and Wildland fires.
  • Emergency Medical Services: Respond to emergency medical calls, evaluate situations, and provide emergency and non-emergency medical procedures.
  • Communications: Conduct all radio communications in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Maintenance: Conduct daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections, and ensure all discrepancies are documented and reported.
  • Training: Participate in all required training sessions, including live fire drills, performance evaluation drills, and ongoing skills maintenance.
Requirements
  • IL certified BOF
  • State issued Registered EMT-B
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
  • Able to work any assigned shift, including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Available to work overtime as assigned and as needed on an emergency basis
Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
