Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at American Medical Response (AMR) in Wilmington, IL. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for performing fire prevention, fire suppression, and emergency medical assistance duties to protect life and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide information to the public
  • Respond to emergency fire alarms and provide fire suppression duties
  • Operate various pieces of fire equipment and gear for fire suppression and control
  • Provide emergency and non-emergency medical procedures both on scene and in a moving vehicle
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Participate in all required training sessions, including live fire drills and ongoing skills maintenance
Requirements
  • IL certified BOF
  • IL State issued EMT-P / Paramedic
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Must possess IDPH EMT-/P license
  • Illinois certified BOF
  • AHA CPR card
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful background investigations with MVR, & criminal records
  • Physical fitness/agility
  • Drug/alcohol screening
