Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of newborns by conducting hearing screens and educating parents on the importance of this critical process.
Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, utilizing video and printed tools to educate parents on the importance of the screen.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, as needed, and follow up on equipment issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Document hearing screen results accurately and submit billing in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols.
- Follow infection control, safety awareness, and other hospital, company, and program policies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, in a timely manner, to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Experience working with infants preferred, with a strong understanding of pediatric audiology and hearing screening procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, with a flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and national holiday work requirements.
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with the ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
