AECOM Hunt Construction Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Intern to join our team at AECOM Hunt in New Orleans, LA.

Job Summary

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working on a variety of projects and tasks. The successful candidate will assist senior staff in performing a range of assignments, including data entry, research, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior staff in performing a variety of assignments, including data entry, research, and administrative tasks.
  • Support the NOLA Convention Center Renovation project, gaining experience in construction management and project coordination.
  • Develop professional work knowledge and abilities, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Meet required schedules while producing quality work.
Requirements

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar discipline, and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a large general contractor.
  • Previous relevant internship experience.
  • Exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
