Position Overview
As a Ski Equipment Rental Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with selecting the appropriate ski or snowboard gear, ensuring proper fit, and managing rental contracts using our point-of-sale system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting ski and snowboard equipment.
- Utilize the point-of-sale system to verify customer information and manage rental contracts.
- Perform calculations for proper DIN settings based on customer abilities and sizes.
- Conduct maintenance on rental equipment, including testing bindings and waxing skis and snowboards.
- Scan returned equipment back into inventory and ensure proper storage after inspection and disinfection.
- Document any damaged gear and coordinate for servicing or removal from use.

Work Schedule
Your shifts will primarily take place at the Porcupine Lodge Rental Shop, typically from Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with opportunities for overtime during peak periods.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: None required.
- Experience: Proven ability to adjust rental ski bindings and wax equipment.
- Other: Continued employment is contingent upon passing an annual binding certification exam. Must be at least 18 years old.
