Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 itinerant caseload, serving as the sole DHH teacher in the school district.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to DHH students across K-12 grades.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to support student needs.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid teaching license with certification in Deaf Education or Hearing Impairment.
  • Experience working with DHH students, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of best practices and methodologies in Deaf Education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
