Job Summary

Protex The PT Xperts, LLC is seeking a skilled Materials Testing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials testing and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt construction materials to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot irregularities in testing procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and complaints from clients and colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year of work-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, establish and maintain effective professional relationships, and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, geologists, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Certifications, licenses, and registrations may be required, depending on the specific job requirements.

Work Environment:

The Materials Testing Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds, occasionally lifting and moving up to 125 pounds.
