Job Title:
User Acceptance Testing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

UAT Execution:

As a User Acceptance Testing Specialist at The Intersect Group, you will be responsible for conducting thorough testing of software applications to ensure they meet the required standards. This involves following test scripts to execute Systems Integration, Smoke Testing, and End to End transactions on LIFT and Smart Checkout equipment in a physical lab environment.


Feedback Gathering:
You will collaborate with end-users to gather valuable feedback on software functionality and user experience, ensuring that the application meets the needs of the users.
Defect Identification:
Document and report any defects identified during UAT, including clear steps to reproduce and impact analysis in Jira.
Test Environment Validation:
Validate that the test environments are accurately set up to represent production conditions for UAT purposes.
Regression Testing Support:
Assist in regression testing activities to ensure bug fixes and new changes do not introduce new issues affecting end-users.
Documentation:
Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and test results in Jira based on communicated requirements.
Support Escalations:
Help troubleshoot support escalations to determine root cause.
Data Management:
Maintain test data to cover varying scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Daily Accounting Transaction Reconciliation:
Perform daily accounting transaction reconciliation and reporting activities.
Collaboration:
Report to IT Manager, collaborate with other IT Analysts also conducting testing, and coordinate with Development Partners (internal and external), Product Managers, Retail Systems, and Global Shared Services.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within a software testing environment. Understanding of software testing methodologies, UAT processes, and the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools. Effective communication skills to convey UAT findings to various stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience in UAT testing is preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
