Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Thalle Construction Co. Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our heavy civil construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, formulate, and execute civil construction projects according to project requirements and engineering standards.
  • Ensure overall project quality control, including review of project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Collaborate with field management to ensure successful resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basis.
  • Approve all equipment, personnel changes, and requisitions prepared and submitted by superintendents.
  • Develop and effectively manage against project budget to ensure project meets projected/required margins.
  • Ensure the accuracy of weekly Viewpoint labor, equipment reports, and monthly cost reports.
  • Conduct and document ongoing financial projections of project performance throughout project life.
  • Act as Thalle's representative with owners and owner's engineers at project meetings.
  • Protect Thalle's interests, minimize conflicts, and professionally resolve issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another Technical Field or equivalent experience.
  • Professional license, certifications, and contractor's licenses.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project engineering and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Strong computer skills, including Primavera, Viewpoint, HCSS Heavy Bid, and P6.
  • 30-hour OSHA construction safety course within the last five years or equivalent training.
