Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating various heavy machinery such as Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steers, Dozers, Blades, and Water Trucks.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, job site protocols, and traffic laws while operating equipment.
  • Maintaining three points of contact on all machinery at all times.
  • Coordinating with team members by responding to signals and directions.
  • Conducting daily inspections and completing checklists for equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing routine inspections and reporting necessary repairs to supervisors.
  • Participating in daily safety meetings and reporting any safety violations or incidents.
  • Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the Foreman when not operating equipment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
  • Exceptional hand, eye, and foot coordination.
  • A basic knowledge of construction principles and procedures.
  • The ability to read and understand safety rules, plans, and operating procedures.
  • A strong orientation towards teamwork.
Education and Experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience operating mainline machinery.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Demonstrate physical strength and endurance.
  • Handle prolonged periods of sitting in machinery.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive movements with hands, arms, and legs.
Work Environment

This position operates in a high-stress environment with varying weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, nonexempt position with a competitive salary starting at $30 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include:
