Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that hinder employment, including assessment, individualized attention, and coordination.
  • Provide comprehensive case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes and goals are met.
  • Conduct new customer orientation and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and received.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops and maintain organized databases of clients.
  • Ensure participants follow through with planned activities and provide individualized assessments of work.
  • Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment and document all participant contacts and activities.
  • Create solutions to participant attendance problems and assist in the preparation of project reports.
  • Manage programs, including the coordination of introductory workshops, facilitation of weekly workshops, and collection of placement data.
  • Work collaboratively with the business services team to identify available jobs, qualifications needed, and workshops and trainings that can best prepare job seekers.
  • Develop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff aware of center-wide issues and their role in meeting operational goals.
  • Participate in activities including training, capacity building, and professional development.
Requirements
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Two years of experience in career advisement and development, case management, customer service, or similar role assisting individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Type a minimum of 35 WPM.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive in environments with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives.
  • Professional understanding of a vast array of occupations and career paths.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, healthcare, and/or communications preferred.
