Job Title: Special Education Paraeducator

Join our team of dedicated professionals as a Special Education Paraeducator at Educational Services. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities in various school settings.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Special Education Paraeducator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Special Education Teachers to provide individualized support to students with disabilities, assisting with lesson plan preparation, one-on-one and small group instruction, classroom management, and communication with parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Special Education Teacher in lesson plan preparation and implementation.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with disabilities.
  • Support classroom management and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure student success.
  • Collect and report student progress data.
  • Participate in staff meetings, inservice programs, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or 48 semester credits from an accredited college or university.
  • Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment or Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position working 37.5 hours per week, school year schedule, and is limited duration through the end of the school year. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of school settings and may be required to travel within the ESD 112 region for meetings and trainings.
