Parts Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parts Manager to join our team at a well-respected multi-location Ag dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Parts Department, ensuring that all aspects of parts sales, inventory, and customer service are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive parts sales and meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Manage and maintain positive relationships with manufacturer partners to ensure timely and efficient parts delivery.
  • Ensure that parts counter staff are trained and equipped to provide exceptional customer service and facilitate the point of sale process.
  • Handle customer parts inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute marketing and merchandising plans to maximize parts department revenue.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the upkeep and appearance of the parts department.
  • Manage all administrative work associated with the parts department, including work orders and parts ordering and returns.
Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of experience in related parts and operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people effectively.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal and external business operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve employee and customer conflicts efficiently.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong client service skills and ability to develop business relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail and high level of initiative.
