Role Overview:

A Production Assembler is responsible for operating machinery in a manufacturing environment and preparing products for distribution. Key responsibilities include assembling and inspecting products, ensuring machinery operates efficiently, and assisting with packaging and shipping tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare for assembly by reviewing instructions, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Gather necessary parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials for assigned tasks.
  • Assemble components by ensuring proper fit and securely fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to team objectives by completing related tasks to achieve production goals.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
  • Accurately read and interpret a tape measure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate production line machinery and computer systems.
  • Perform equipment changeovers as needed.
  • Ensure quality control by rejecting products that do not meet specifications.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Keep work areas clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Full hand dexterity is required.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Entry-Level Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a basic assessment.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in assembly or working with hand tools.
