Anchor Construction and Management is seeking a skilled Iron Fabricator to join our team. As an Iron Fabricator, you will be responsible for utilizing advanced metal forming and fusing processes to meet quality standards with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize state-of-the-art metal forming and fusing processes to meet quality standards with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum SMAW, GMAW, FCAW - 6G
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
  • Complete precise and accurate work.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following and implementing all Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
  • Model and uphold the Company rules, policies, and performance expectations.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and contribute to a positive corporate culture.
  • Lay out reference points and patterns on heavy metal according to component specifications.
  • Rig, hoist, and safely move large and complex loads.
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits.
  • Install fabricated components in a final product.
  • Work safely at heights, confined spaces, and in challenging environments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Complete all site-specific safety and quality training as required.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years working as a journeyperson in your chosen trade, taking on progressively more responsibility and authority.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, plan the flow of work, set up equipment, and layout materials to maximize productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely in a high-hazard environment.
  • Strong work ethic and time management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute positively to a skilled trades team.
  • Understanding of due diligence and ability to complete detailed and accurate reports as required.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • The following additional training is considered an asset:
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Certification for Structural Steel and/or Aluminum welding processes
  • Certification for Pipe and Pressure Welding
  • OSHA-training
  • Fall protection Training
  • Equipment Operation (Forklift, Telehandler, etc.)
