  • Prepare food according to hotel standards of production quality and quantity.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of kitchen areas, including walk-ins and kitchen stations.
  • Ensure food is stored and served at proper temperatures and rotate food in walk-ins to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and local health regulations.

**Requirements**

  • Basic knowledge of production and operations in a pastry kitchen.
  • Minimum 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
  • Professional culinary certification or degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with local Department of Health regulations and Covid protocols.
  • County of San Diego food handlers card required upon hire.

**Working Environment**

This role requires the ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, both indoors and outdoors, in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be required to stand and walk short distances, push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and work under pressure.
