Land Survey Field Technician

A. Morton Thomas, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our team based out of our office in Rockville, MD.   • Assist in setting survey control points, including construction stakeouts.
  • Clear brush from survey sight lines.
  • Utilize hand tools, such as an axe, bush axe, machete, and sledgehammer.
  • Maintain the survey truck's inventory and ensure it is stocked.
  • Under the direction of the fleet manager, bring the survey truck in for required fuel and maintenance.
  • Take direction from the Survey Instrument Operator and Party Chief.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 0-1 years of experience.
  • Entry-level position.
  • Basic knowledge of field surveying procedures is desired but not mandatory.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members.
  • Positive attitude and professional bearing.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally.
  • Must be service-oriented and excited to work in a team environment.

Compensation: $20 - $22 an hour.
