We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our Behavioral Health team at Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD.
Job Summary:The Psychiatric Technician will provide direct care to patients on the Adolescent Unit, working closely with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic treatment and the ability to recognize and value differences in the care team.
Responsibilities:- Facilitate patient-professional collaboration at all levels of healthcare.
- Monitor therapeutic treatment and incorporate clinical guidelines into patient care.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
- Use information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Prior experience as an inpatient psychiatric technician or with adolescents preferred.
3 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekend requirement.
Pay Range:$25.65 per hour.
