Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. This position is required to be local to the DC Metro Region and will work closely with developers, shared services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.

Key Responsibilities

- Develops automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements
- Works closely with developers, shared services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software
- Develops using Java and executes automated tests on both Web Front end and microservice architecture
- Runs test validations at various levels including DB validation, rules validation, logging validation, reporting validations, and UI validation

Requirements

- BA/BS with 2 years of relevant work experience; or MS/MA degree; or 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 2 years of hands on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#)
- Previous experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands on experience in Open Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)
- Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
- Prior experience with front-end development including JavaScript frameworks
- Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program
- Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
