Global Therapeutic Area Manager for Rare Diseases

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Global Therapeutic Area Manager for Rare Diseases. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a high-performing team of Medical Science Liaisons, responsible for delivering medical expertise and guidance to support the development and commercialization of our innovative therapies.
About the Role
In this key leadership position, you will oversee the strategic planning and execution of medical affairs initiatives across the US market, with a focus on rare diseases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and clinical development, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons, providing guidance and coaching to drive performance and excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to deliver medical expertise and guidance in support of product launches and ongoing market access initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement medical education programs and materials.
- Provide expert scientific guidance and support to healthcare professionals, payers, and patients to address unmet needs and improve health outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and thought leaders in the field of rare diseases.
Requirements
- Prior experience in medical affairs or a related field, with a strong background in leading high-performing teams and developing strategic plans.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, etc.) in a relevant field, such as medicine, biology, or pharmacology.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business decisions.
What We Offer
This role offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
