Position Overview
Self Financial is seeking a Senior Program Manager to assist the Technology Operations team in defining, organizing, and executing strategic initiatives across multiple departments and teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to capture and facilitate the prioritization of business objectives while striving to enhance Self's program management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing both long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and securing resources for strategic initiatives.
- Overseeing project delivery to maximize impact for Self and our clients.
- Managing programs of work across our Technical Operations teams for Research and Development. This includes portfolio management updates, onboarding new third-party partners or tools, and leading complex, interdependent process or system updates across our technology platform.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders and resource managers to assign project tasks to team members best suited for completion.
- Identifying and managing potential risks, liabilities, and dependencies across multiple projects.
- Assisting in defining project scope, goals, and outcomes for the R&D organization.
- Making informed decisions when faced with multiple options for project progression.
- Coordinating projects across various stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Compliance.
- Providing status updates to the executive team.
- Identifying and resolving issues, either independently or by assembling a group of subject matter experts.
- 6+ years of experience in a software business.
- 7+ years of project or initiative management experience preferred.
- 7+ years of experience working with external partners or vendors preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong business problem-solving mindset.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Atlassian Enterprise Suite (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, etc.).
- LucidChart (or similar process mapping tools).
- G-Suite & Slack (or similar communication platforms).
- PMI or similar certifications in project or program management.
- Agile or Scrum certifications.
The base salary range is $135,000-150,000 annually. Individual pay is determined by factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related considerations.
