Senior Manufacturing Engineer

At SES Government Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Danbury, CT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet customer quality requirements while driving continuous improvement and meeting key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and streamline production operations in our manufacturing execution system
- Identify and support required tooling to achieve production goals
- Pull and analyze production data to solve problems and aid in evidence-based decision making
- Optimize floor layout based on business forecasts
- Partner with the engineering department to achieve design for manufacturing ability targets
- Mentor junior engineers to learn on-the-job skills
- Lead lean or Kaizen events and implement at the site-level on an ongoing basis
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
- Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, tooling, testing, processing, software, robotics, and automation
- Lean implementation experience in a manufacturing environment and a green or black belt in Six Sigma, preferred
- Familiarity with the following systems, preferred: ERP Systems (Deltek/Costpoint 8), MES (Solumina), PLM (Empower and Arena), 3-D Modeling (Creo)
