Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at St. Luke's Health-Memorial. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our cath lab.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of room staff to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
  • Perform duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures.
  • Exhibit strong organization skills, including time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage staff and room activities to maximize productivity and ensure a professional and patient-oriented atmosphere.
  • Operate radiographic equipment, physiologic recorder/database system, and other support equipment.
  • Develop cines and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Recognize basic equipment malfunctions and report to Biomed promptly.
  • Exhibit a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and interpret data gathered during procedures.
  • Anticipate physician needs and set up sterile trays.
  • Provide support for EP, interventional, and scrub assist procedures.
  • Train and educate new employees in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) year clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RTR), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).
  • CPR/BLS certification.
