At Unavailable, we are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist III to join our team. This role is responsible for supervising the room staff's performance, coordinating the room's schedule, and communicating with the Cath Lab management team to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure. They will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the focus of the responsibilities below, which is to assure optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Exhibits strong organization skills, including strong interaction and time management skills, independent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and fiscal management skills.
- Responsible for managing staff and room activities to maximize productivity, coordinating staffing assignments within the room to ensure technical role assignments are responsive to patients' needs and reflective of staff member abilities.
- Works in conjunction with the schedule coordinator, managers, supervisors, and other room leaders to facilitate departmental productivity, initiating actions to minimize case delays and reporting schedule information promptly to the schedule coordinator and other appropriate personnel.
- Operates the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures, operates physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms, and operates manifold, power injector, and other support equipment.
- Develops cines when necessary according to policy, able to recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in the room, and reports malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve.
- Exhibits a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and is able to interpret data gathered during procedures and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications.
- Helps to efficiently run the schedule by maintaining a smooth and steady rate of work, communicating with other room staff and the schedule coordinator to maximize the productivity of the entire department.
- Performs other duties as assigned to enhance patient care and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, be registered as a Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RTR), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), and have documented expertise and successful completion of specialty training areas and skills checklist for at least two of the following: EP, interventional, scrub assist for AAA procedures or radiographic/digital imaging technique.
