Job Title: Engineering Technician II

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician II to join our team. As an Engineering Technician II, you will perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments, with responsibilities within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.
  • Support technical tasks and project support.
  • Set up equipment and monitor tests and experiments.
  • Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
  • Observe results, collect data, and compile summaries and reports.
  • Perform extensive research and development during the creation phase of products.
  • Utilize computer-aided design and drafting equipment during the design phase.
Requirements:
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Preferred Education: Associates Degree.
  • Discipline Major: Technical training preferred.
  • Additional Certifications: IPC Soldering and Wire Harness certifications preferred.
