Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and ensure that all drinks are made to perfection.
  • Inspect the bar area prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available and that the area is clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and inform management if continued service to a member or guest is in question.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology, including food and wine pairings and wine presentation and service.
  • Basic knowledge of the club's POS system or comparable POS system is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of department and daily club operations, including events and operating hours.
  • Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Ability to work large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Food Handlers Certification is required.

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate, some college preferred.
  • Alcohol beverage certification.
  • Food safety certification.
  • One year of bartending experience.
  • Of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Prior club experience is preferred.
