Job Title: Post Closer

The Post Closer plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's exposure to liability and claims is minimized. This is achieved by thoroughly reviewing closing files to guarantee all title commitment requirements have been met prior to or at closing, verifying accurate file balances, and confirming good funds have been received before disbursement and the final title policy is issued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist escrow branch operations with disbursement of escrow transactions and issuance of final title policies.
  • Review and prepare closing files for disbursement, disburse files by receipting funds and issuing checks and wires according to lender and/or escrow officer instructions.
  • File conveyance and mortgage documents with County Recorders Offices.
  • Input and maintain 1099 information for all purchase transactions.
  • Prepare and issue short and long form lenders title insurance policies and owners title insurance policies.
  • Monitor, maintain, and balance the Rynoh and Positive Pay systems.

Requirements:

  • Mortgage/Banking experience.
  • Basic Accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Organization and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Springfield, Missouri. The work environment is quiet, and multitasking and coordinating with other in the department are key.
