Nexstar Broadcasting is seeking a skilled Photographer/Editor Fill-In to join our dynamic news team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality news content and contributing to the success of our news operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cameras, editing and microwave equipment used in electronic newsgathering and production.
  • Assist in the production of news content, including spot news and creative storytelling, to engage and inform our audience.
  • Lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and work various shifts to meet the demands of our news operations.
  • Maneuver and operate a live truck to capture and transmit live footage.
  • Drive a vehicle as part of the job requirements to transport equipment and personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in broadcasting or a related field, such as communications or journalism.
  • Have three to five years of experience in television news gathering, editing, and microwave operations.
  • Possess strong communication skills and sound editorial judgment to ensure high-quality content.
  • Familiarity with Chicago city streets and knowledge of Adobe Premiere are a plus, but not required.
